Richerenches
was originally a Knights Templar Commandery. Visitors can learn a lot
about this era through the signs which tell the tale of life in the
city at the time of the knights.
Explore the Church, the Ramparts, the Commandery with its western door crowned by the Clock Tower (17th century Campanile and nail-studded door). Today Richerenches has traded its Knights' robes for Chef's hats, and is famous for its truffle market. A trip back in time, in the heart of the Papal Enclave . |
