Ansouis is in the heart of the Aygues area, and looks out over the Grand Luberon and the Durance river valley. The perched village is crowned by a beautiful château that is nearly a thousand years old. Ansouis has remained beautifully preserved, with graceful squares and lovely winding streets which lead to its magnificent château. Village streets are lined with beautiful old homes – the oldest date from the 15^th and 16^th centuries.
