Staying in Cavaillon in a rural gîte means that it is easy to make day trips throughout all of Provence and discover the remarkable diversity of the area. The city of Cavaillon is a dynamic town which lies amidst some of the most beautiful scenery in Provence – in the Luberon Park, at the gateway to the southern Luberon range. Cavaillon grew up next to Saint Jacques hill, and continues to have strong agricultural, economic and cultural activity. Tourism is interesting here, where modern life and strong traditions combine harmoniously.
Cavaillon’s thriving activity is partly due to its location in Vaucluse, between the Durance River, the Alpilles and the Luberon, just 20 kilometres from Avignon.
