The village of Maubec lies 8 kilometres from Cavaillon in the direction of Apt, nestled at the base of the Luberon. You pass by the church to reach the old village and discover the château built on high. Maubec is on the biking circuit called "Around the Luberon" which connects Cavaillon to Forcalquier via Apt. Maubec stretches all the way to the hamlet of Le Coustellet, which is justifiably famous for its Sunday farmers’ market (Easter to December). This market is where all the local growers come to sell their fruits, vegetables, wines, honey and other regional products. Le Coustellet also has wine cellars and a distillery.
